3 Reasons Why 4K TVs Will Keep Trending In The Future
Today it’s again about 4K TVs…but this time I want to show you 3 reasons why 4K TVs will keep trending in the future. They have no chance to disappear from the peak trends of technology in the next 10-20 years.
We’re definitely right in the middle of technology era at this point. Each year we see more and more gadgets we couldn’t have even imagined 10 years back.
Would you have guessed that smartphones would become normal back in the ’90, when we barely had minimal cellphones? Or that computers will rapidly lose their popularity in favor of laptops?
What about our TVs, could you have imagined that they would connect to the Internet without any cable?
1. They Are On Top When It Comes To Quality
And I don’t necessarily mean image quality this time. Yes, it’s obvious that their picture quality is the best on the market (besides cinemas, but this doesn’t count), but what I’m talking about this time is their technical quality.
I could talk for hours about OLED technology, HDMI connections or screen filters, but I leave this story for another time.
Anyway, the fact is that 4K TVs’ design elements have pretty good features, that ensure their durability for more than 5 years. In fact, the producers don’t measure this is years, but in hours (lifespan actually).
But if you need something sure, you should know that most 4Ks come with a pretty long warranty, which makes it clear that they are supposed to last for more than it’s written there.
Anyway, long story short, there’s no reason to worry about 4K TVs’ quality because it’s improving with every year and with every new model that comes up. If you don’t believe me, take a look at LG’s 2016 OLED line and you will see a huge improvement in quality, compared to the 2015 generation.
2. 4K Video Games Are Also Expanding
You probably know that you can play really nicely on 4K TVs. However, the #1 issue is that there are pretty few video games created exclusively for this kind of TVs.
Don’t get it wrong, you can play a lot of PC games on a 4K TV (console games can’t be played on this type of device, however), but the problem is the image quality, that won’t improve much.
In fact, it may not even look better than on your PC’s screen, simply because the game wasn’t created to be played on a 4K dimension.
However, the good news is that things are evolving fast. So fast that every year the number of 4K games grows by 500%, or maybe even more.
So even if right now you don’t have a lot of content to play on 4Ks, in 2-3 years you may have 40% of all PC games available in a 4K version. And that’s just the beginning. You can even get a great TV for gaming for less than $500.
3. Large Screens Are Getting In Fashion
No matter if we’re talking about a phone, a tablet or a TV, one thing is sure – the larger the screen, the better.
That’s been the general opinion of people in the last 2 years when it comes to technology. And in one way, it’s natural. It’s much easier to watch a large screen than to struggle to play on an average one. So that’s exactly what big companies are playing upon.
Therefore, the consumers’ requests for large screens are growing every year, no matter what we’re talking about. So in 10 years you shouldn’t be surprised if modern TVs were as large as your living room wall.
Joking apart, the tendency for screens’ dimensions is by no means to decrease, and this will definitely not change in the future. And when you think about a large screen, what is the first thing that comes in your mind?
Well, in mine there’s a 4K TV. And you should definitely associate it with a large screen, as most have over-average dimensions. Besides, if you really want to buy a large TV, what’s the point of getting a plain HD one? Seriously. Better buy a 4K, the difference in price is almost insignificant, and the benefits are a lot more.
So, Are 4K TVs Going Anywhere Soon?
Well, definitely not. The actual tendencies in TV design are pretty much the ones we see in 4Ks: slim screens with large dimensions, color accuracy or rapid Internet connection. And these are just a few of them.
Besides, their quality is much better than you would think – the long warranty stands as a witness.
Experts say that 4K TVs are among the top 5 trends of the future when it comes to technology, so you’re not making a mistake if you’re getting a 4K already. If you don’t do it now, you surely will in the next couple of years. 😉
